The “Camp Turner” Nursery

2012 November 6
by B. Jones

It’s here.. Turner’s room! Two weeks and my little man will hopefully be sleeping soundly in this “Urban Explorer/Camp Turner” room.

When putting this room together, I wanted it to feel like a little boys room, a room that encourages exploration and adventure. I collected pieces from flea markets, antique shops, thrift stores, ikea and a few other shops. As with my own personal style it’s a hodge podge of new and used.

Take a peek inside..

Little Castle Mod Rocker, Ikea Blanket, and Ikea Lamp

Thrifted table that I painted to create a new fresh look, and vintage toys picked up at flea markets.

Mom and Dad state prints from Livy Love Designs

Blabla’s Wink the Owl and Ikea Crib

Reused red chest, vintage accessories and vintage tapestry from Etsy.

Thrifted mid century dresser, flea market finds and thrifted art.

Flea Market “T”, repainted to match the room.. flea market bin that will act as a dirty clothes hamper.

Thrifted art, and flea market water bag.

This looks lovely! I love that it doesn’t necessarily look like a baby’s room which is the look I love.

The room looks beautiful. Remember to take it easy on yourself and your body after the birth… you’ll look beautiful out and about with your baby, even if your body is not the same as it was before.
