Life with Turner

Almost a month ago, my little man entered the world and my life turned inside out. It’s no longer just about what I want and what I need.. it’s about someone else’s wants and needs. Motherhood is such a selfless experience. After nine months of worry and “I’m sick-to-death-of-this”, I’ve actually enjoyed the transition. For someone who thought I didn’t have the mom gene, I’ve surprised myself by easing into it. Every week things become more normal and I’m getting in the groove.
Turner is growing and I’m falling further in love everyday.

I also didn’t think I had the “mom gene” (and don’t really enjoy pregnancy) but in some ways I think this is good! There’s no expectations or build-up (like my friends who have been planning kids their whole life have) and you can just kind of go with the flow and enjoy your baby.
Two beautiful people! Turner is such a cutie. Good job, mama. You’re glowing!
