Fit & Fabulous: Motivation and Progress

This week for my Fit & Fabulous series, I’m letting you in on how I motivate and track my progress.
On a recent thrifting adventure I found this hot dress and I couldn’t pass it up. Even though it didn’t fit then, I thought I’d buy it and motivate myself with a “goal dress”. February romance is around the corner and my goal is to look hot in this little number by then!
In my bathroom I hung some old pictures of myself. Days when a bikini wasn’t a scary thing.. and days when my arms were toned and fit. I also added some pictures of Pink.. I know.. so funny.. but she looks amazing after losing her baby weight.
I track my workout schedule and inches lost each month on a worksheet I created. I love filling in the blanks and writing down the pounds and inches lost. It’s great to look up and see the progress that’s being made.
Finally, I have post-its marked with 10 lb weight loss rewards. Things like.. get a haircut.. go shopping in Palm Springs.. buy a bikini. Just fun little ways to feel good about my accomplishments.

Keeping track of what I eat, my workouts and my weight loss definitely makes all the difference! And there’s nothing better than when my arms start looking toned, I’m with you on that one.
Oh gosh, I was once like this before I got married, because I wanted to look beyond amazing in my wedding dress, but I could never be like this again. I just want to be healthy, I don’t care about the inches or pounds anymore. Too exhausting for me!
I am so impressed with how organized you are. I think the passion you are putting into your body is so inspiring! I want to approach all my goals this way. You look amazing already BUT you will definitely reach your goal with this attitude. Also, I love the idea of using yourself to inspire you. So powerful!
Great stuff. Have you tried Humbara yet? http://www.humbara.com
Wow you are on it! I need to use some of these tactics!

This is such a great way to motivate yourself. I love how real you are with it all – something that can be missing in the blogging world.
